Water & Sewer Infrastructure Services

FCH Construction delivers a full range of water and sewer installation services across both new developments and existing infrastructure. Our experienced team works across residential, commercial, and civil projects, ensuring each job meets Scottish Water and local authority standards. With a range of trenchless and conventional techniques, we minimise disruption and complete works safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Water Main Installation (New)

We install new water mains using a combination of directional drilling and open trenching methods depending on site requirements. Services include full pipe laying, valve and hydrant installation, as well as the integration of flow meters for accurate monitoring and control.

Water Main Replacement

Our team carries out water main replacements using slip lining, directional drilling, and trench excavation. We handle live connections and upgrades with minimal impact to surrounding infrastructure, ensuring a seamless transition to new systems.

In-Line Water Stops

We install in-line water stops ranging in various sizes of diameter, with optional bypass systems to maintain flow during maintenance or shutdowns. These are ideal for isolating sections of pipework without disrupting entire networks.

Sewer Main Installation (New)

FCH handles complete new sewer installations, including deep excavation, wet-wells / manhole construction, junctions, and property service connections. All works comply with current environmental and safety regulations.

Sewer Main Replacement

We replace ageing or damaged sewer mains using excavation, slip lining, and pipe bursting methods. Suitable for pipe diameters from 100mm to 300mm, this work includes manhole renewal and connection upgrades.

Confined Space Works

Our team is trained and accredited for confined space entry, including work within manholes, shafts, pits, drains, and culverts. All operations are carried out under strict safety controls, using the correct equipment and rescue planning protocols.
